The project consisted of visiting and reviewing all city-owned building in the Greater Sudbury Area. Investigations were conducted, building condition assessments were completed 400+ buildings, and costs were identified for required repairs and maintenance.
Polestar CM Inc was retained to provide budget verification, peer review of contract documents, and review of funding, costs and any variation from budgets during construction for monthly progress draws for payments by Peoples Trust.
Polestar CM Inc. was retained to provide an assessment of compliance with Ontario Building Code and architectural drawings, as well as identify deficiencies and cost implications for legal counsel. Polestar CM Inc. was the expert witness in court on behalf of the owners.
The project consisted of a new addition and renovation of an existing portion of the mine facility. Work was planned and sequenced to keep the facility fully operational during construction of the project. To address concerns of mine staff and management, a brand new locker system was designed and implemented. This system has subsequently been emulated in other dry facilities.
